How do you know?

Regardless it's a big deal isn't it? I guess Matt must have made some decent coin on Bodis against the odds. I remember when he started it and the struggles he had to get it off the ground so full credit to him (he's only a young guy too).

DomainState.com - $40K?
Namepros.com - $300K
DNForum.com - Offered $1m by Bodis

Seems to be more money in forums than I thought...

Bloody hard work though David. And it consumes you .........

From my point of view, DNT is a labour of love. I work it hard and consistently.

You have to be passionate about running a forum - particularly when you consider some of the crap and spammers that you have to put up with ............

But as I said, I love it.

My take on forums is they don't make a lot in terms of the time/effort involved and should be treated a side line or hobby. If you calculate what the typical forum sells for and work out an hourly rate that this might equate to it is pretty low. eg namepros, largest domain forum in a high value niche, 10 years of work involving multiple admin, reportedly sold for $200,000-$300,000. There is ad revenue but I don't think it is going to put the kids through school, pay the monthly mortgage etc.

Run a forum for enjoyment or because it is related to another business only, not to try to make money out of it. Have found the same thing with forums in other areas.

I was under the impression that you had "leased" this to Corey G (ex-member here) under some sort of agreement?
