Exclamation

with over 400 dntrade members can we make sure everyone bothers to fill this in please

I filled it in and said

1. open up .com.au so anyone can buy and sell domain names ( same as .com rules.. anyone from any country has the same rights to buy.. this is what australia needs to catch up to the rest of the world)

2. Reduce AUDA Fee

3. allow 1 year, 2, 5 and 10 year registrations

4. make the audrp a compulsory 3 member panel and cost $5500 to lodge complaints with a fee of $5500 payable to registrant if claim is proven to have been brought in bad faith ( reverse domain name hijacking)

5. cancel the stupid 6 month rule. Allow people to buy and sell when they want.. there is no 6 month rule any other product in Australia is there stopping someone from selling their asset when they want? Houses, Cars, Farms, Land, Tvs, Shops, businesses etc?

6. monetisation, parking, selling.. whatever is allowed.. ( same as .com rules)

7. Make registrant transfers easier and cheaper.

8. Cut the Auda red tape in all possible areas

9. Allow sale of domain names at any time

10. Allow Domain leasing

11. Use the same rules as are used for .com. They work well for the world so why not use the same standards the world is more used to.

12. this is interesting http://www.acma.gov.au/webwr/_assets...t_approach.pdf

Yes submissions are very important. Remember you don't have to addresss every issue in a submission - you can even just comment on a single issue you feel is important.

For example something as brief as

Quote:
Dear Lujia,
I believe that leasing of domain names should not be allowed.
Regards
YourName
would qualify as a submission.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.au_Domain_Administration

Although AUDA seems to be in control of domain names in Australia at the moment this was not always the case. It might be argued news ideas, A new CEO, New staff and other systems could be looked at?
