Default $2k/day "Lead Site"

According to Ric Latona, this car insurance quote site is now doing over $2000 per day in revenue!

http://www.carinquotes.com/

Here is his blog article - by the way, the domain is for sale!

What do you think of the site?

Clever, I confess, for a wordpress site and some affiliate links - https://www.shmktpl.com/ provides the back end and he probably has some affiliate program running but what I want to know is how he is placed on google to get such click through rate to his site, and then click through rate to the insurers.. he must be doing some volume.

I had a look on http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/carinquotes.com# and the site is pretty popular in India - has not bad percentages, but he couldn't possibly be paying for ads could he if they are so expensive, and then making money out of the click throughs through some affiliate plan?

I don't know - but I have seen some cool stuff to add onto word press sites.

Nice link thanks.

Ranking #3 for car insurance quotes is no mean feat

GAKT suggests 200,000 global searches but that obviously includes every country. Wonder how many people use Google.com rather than Google.ccTLD? For argument's sake, let's say, generously, it's 50%

That means #3 for 100,000 monthly searches. Studies suggest #3 will get 10% of clicks so that's 10,000 visits/month.

According to your link, Nina, that delivers 25% of search traffic. Which means 40,000 search visits/month. so that's 1,300/day

Soo... to generate $2,000 in income per day, one would have to think that this traffic is significantly topped up ... by Adwords maybe?

Assuming 3% conversion rate for leads:

3% of 1,300 = 39 leads a day
$2000 / 39 = $51.29 per lead

$50 per confirmed sale would be plausable. But per lead? Not sure, not my area...
