I think Bing Lee has done the worst thing with this as they are a big brand not some idiot programmer -
Mr Lopez is not the first person to take advantage of the Queensland floods. Electronics retailer Bing Lee was slammed by social media users after it offered to donate $1 to flood victims for every person that “liked” its Facebook page.

Lots of social media lessons being learnt through this. Good and bad.
QPS with their Facebook and Twitter stream have done a fab job. Their #mythbuster releases is a great concept. More lessons are about to be learnt with the supermarkets, banks and insurance companies in the spotlight. |
